This year's event promises to be a most entertaining evening. As usual there'll be haggis, neeps and tatties and the Immortal Memory given tonight by Gary West from the School of Scottish Studies where he is Professor of Scottish Ethnology.

As our first Burns' Supper at UCC we're looking forward to seeing what comes out of the kitchen downstairs and we're sure it will be beautifully cooked, delicious home-made plate of haggis, neeps and tatties.

Gary West of course, is well-known not just as Prof West but he is also one of Scotland's noted and quoted bagpipers and in that role currently plays with the famous Atholl Highlanders while he is presenter of BBC Radio Scotlands Pipeline. Gary also plays guitar, whistles and sings. Some of you may have seen Gary in the superb trio BrÒg which EFC booked twice in less than 12 months (unusual to do so but totally justified - excellent band).
